Rumours of there actually being no lights this year, have been quoushed by a positive news story in the Biggleswade Chronicle published on 23rd November. However, it may not be clear to every reader, that none of the strings of lights will be put up this year. Instead the lights will consist of features on lamp posts and in actual trees already in the market square. It seems that the only part of the 50 year traditional layout remaining will be a tree by the war memorial. Everything from previous years remains in storage.
